TM or KSC
Out of everything that comes to pistols, reliability, accuracy, power etc. Which is better?

KSC has generally higher stock FPS output....but from my experience the TM is generally more accurate...

I've had(have) 3 KSC USP(2 old system, 1 System 7), 1 Glock, 1 SigPro, 1 MP7 and 1 Mac 11. All nice guns, but for some reason none holds my interest for long aside from the MP7....
I can't shoot my USP as well as I can Hi-Capa, but that's less of a problem of the KSC and more of the USP design. I've had a KSC Glock 19 and TM Glock 26 at the same time. The KSC was much more powerful than the TM, but shooting from the same distance the TM holds much better group, despite the shorter barrel. Mind you, if you like the guns KSC makes(and they make some pretty unique ones), they are perfectly fine pistols to own. And if I am after a specific model, I would not hesitate to buy KSC. One of the problem was though that KSC parts are harder to come by, makes a tinkerer like me less interested in long term.... |

TM has a MUCH better hopup design that KSC, which contributes to longer range and more accuracy.

TM Hi-capa 5.1 is generally considered one of the best starter pistols. Very accurate stock, and it will go for a very long time with no real work needed. Some guys say you need a metal slide to use propane, but you really don't.
If you want a reliable, accurate pistol, TM hi-capa.

I have a KSC Glock 19, and a KSC Mk.23 (Old Version).
I am happy with these pistols. They were very cheap to buy and decent. When I got the Mk.23 there was a problem with "half cycling" and low velocities occasionally but hopefully that got fixed when I sent it off to the gundocs. Now, compare that to a TM pistol. I've had the chance to shoot an TM Mk.23 and play with a friends Hi-Capa. I would say, if you're looking to spend a lot (ie. instead of buying a Honda rustbucket for a daily driver that gets the job done you get an Acura RSX as a daily driver), you like lots of aftermarket parts support, are thinking of tuning/upgrading your GBB, and are probably going to use it as a primary in CQB or for IPSC then TM all the way. With KSC, the aftermarket part support isn't as great and the GBB system is different, using proprietary parts. It's harder to find aftermarket parts, don't get me wrong there are aftermarket parts available but they seem to be rarer. So essentially if you want something that will "work" out of the box, are going to leave it stock, and just going to have it for the "Bad ass factor" or use it as a dedicated secondary (ie. won't use it in IPSC or as a primary in CQB games) then go with the KSC. Note that I have used the KSC G19 as a primary (in a pistol only game) in a smaller outdoor "FIBUA" site and it worked pretty well, got a few kills and it was fun. Here skills matter more than what gun is "better" and although having "better" equipment may have made a slight difference in a few kills where I couldn't get the BB to hit the target it was still fun nonetheless and the pistols didn't blow up and catch fire so that's good in my books.

KSC is a great company. In terms of feel, it shatters TM. For example, their Glocks are the closest thing to the real deal out of all the airsoft Glocks out there.
TM Guns are great. They are accurate and reliable. While their hop-up is good, i find that its a pain in the ass to adjust, as you have to take off the slide to adjust the dial. With KSC, you just rack the slide back. KSC is seen as the bread and butter of pistols for the most part. Generally, people only buy TM Glocks because of the full trades. IMHO, TM makes the best 1911 style pistols. So if you want a 1911 or a 2011 (i.e.: Hi-Cappa), then get TM. Dont buy a KSC 1911. However, if you want something like a USP or a Glock or another unique pistol such as a CZ model or something like that, get KSC. I have heard people getting insanely long range kills using a KSC G17 (ask Crunchmeister). KSC guns are hard hitting and hard working guns that are just all around dependable and reliable. Depending on what style of pistol you want, that should be the deciding factor as to what company you buy from. Both have their pros and cons. If both companies offer the same pistol that you want, and the pros and cons pretty much cancel each other out, get KSC. Their feel and external quality is far superior (IMHO) to TM. |

I recently bought a CO2 KP-05 that surpasses any GBB I owned.
CO2 magazines have only one valve, the pistol shoots far and accurate, the fps is not too high (under 350), and the co2 construction makes it very strong, nothing to upgrade. If you want to game it, scratch it, drop it, or just throw it at FP1990's face, it's the perfect tool. going back to my KSC glock feels like a punishement even if the KSC pistol is wayyy more beautiful.

KSC for a glock, TM for everything else. Personal preference really, no real reason.

This guy on youtube says that kwa has some sort of "metal alloy" which he says is higher quality than any other shooters design or custom made slide, not true right? He also talks about this ns2 system and says it makes it so that the kwa is way better than the tm and tm is among the worst. Can anyone shed some light on this?

however, there is a metal powder added to the mixes of some KSC guns, which give them that solid feel and such. like i said, KSC guns feel more like the real deal than TM. and this isn't a minor difference, for me anyway, its very noticeable. the NS2 system (aka: System 7) is just a new form of blowback system developed by KSC. Its supposed to all for for efficient shooting in their pistols and just overall better performance in terms of FPS, gas usage and weather conditions. i remember a guy posted a vid on here awhile back of him shooting a KSC NS2 system in the dead of winter without any problems or performance issues whatsoever (save for not getting more than a mags worth of gas out of one charge). still, for the dead of winter, that was really impressive. in the summer, its even better. |

Well, people on Youtube says all sorts things.
However, KWA pistols are some of the nicest pistols I've ever seen, period. And I've seen my share of the top TM aftermarket builds in Canada. For out of the box pistols, KWA's newest models are the best. You can spend a good bit of money and time metalling up your TM, and you might roughly equal a KWA out of the box. You'd have to spend a lot of money metal kits and time on excellent aftermarket and professional installation to clearly top a KWA. If I want a metal gun for gaming, I would personally always get a KWA (NS2). If I wanted to turn the whole sidearm experience into something closer to owning an exotic vintage vehicle, I'd get a TM.
