Lipo with low ROF?

im putting a rail system on my SAW, which will make my 9.6 volt batteries impossible to fit in, and i dont want to have to use a PEQ box, i think there ugly. my brother has one on his G36, ad i notice it adds a LOT of weight to the front of the gun. i heard lipo batteries are much smaller, while providing longer life spans. however, i dont want a crazy rate of fire, i just want to save space. is it possible to use a Lipo battery to save space and increase battery life, without the insane ROF? im planning on downgrading my spring aswell, which is going to increase ROF even more. any help would be appreciated.

A trigger master would do the trick.

is it something easy to install? or am i looking at getting a gundoc to do it? also, what do you have to do to a gun to make it Lipo ready?

Yeah, either a MOSFET like the Trigger Master or simply a 7.4v LiPo (instead of a 11.1).

A MOSFET requires rewiring of the gun so if you're not very knowlegdgable with that, a gundoc would be advisable.

If you don't know how to do rewiring and solder work (all general electrical skill), then take it to a Gun Doctor.

Any gun can handle a 7.4v LiPo without any mods. It'll give you about the same ROF as your 9.6v. Because it's your SAW, I wouldn't bother with the trigger master. I would, however, get a lipo low drain protective device. it's an electronic battery attachmen tthat warns you when your lipo is low on juice. Draining a lipo battery completely is very bad. The trigger master does do this but it's excessive. There are plenty of devices on the market for about 10 to 15 bucks and you won't have to send it to your doc.

The Low Drain device, does it take up much space? it might be pointless if it takes up too much space, my gun has a fuse near where the battery plugs in that takes up a lot of space as it is. at lease, i assume its a fuse. plus, roughtly how big is the average 7.4 lipo? im pretty sure the space im going to have will be very limited, seeing as its extremely cramped now without the rail setup

Trigger master is ridiculously easy to install if you've even touched electronics before. The hardest part being positioning the controller itself.

The trigger master would be useful if you want to lower your ROF, but with a 7.4v LiPo your ROF should be just perfect.
My advice is to get a MOSFET (increases your ROF a bit, eliminates arcing in your trigger, and increases battery life), and a wolfdragon PCB (protection circuit board, all it does is monitor the individual voltage of your lipo cells so they don't over-discharge)

A 1600mah 7.4v Lipo, mosfet and PCB take up about as much room as an 8.4v NIMH
Not sure about the dimensions of the larger LiPo's but they come in MANY sizes.

The lipo is about the same size as a mini battery. The size of the warning device... depends. I've seen some with an LED showing you your current voltage. Most just have a buzzer. The smaller no frills beep type are about the size and thickness of ....errrrr...3 stacked nickels..ish plus some wires and connectors of course. If space is really really tight you could also solder it into your batterys' leads.

I hate to threadjack, I really do, but could someone explain a trigger master to me?

I've never really understood what they are.

quick question to ask too. LIPO setups do improve trigger response right?(with higher gauge gauge wires to prevent trigger contacts being burned out)

Anything that increases ROF increases Trigger response in an AEG.

So yes. Also the gauge of the wire doesn't protect the trigger contacts at all.
