5.1 Hands down.
I've had the chance to hold my buddies 4.3 and I was REALLY impressed. Personally I feel if you like Glocks you can't really go wrong with KSC (I myself have a KSC Glock 19 as my backup). PS: You're in Kent eh..... Well I might be over in Canterbury next year on an international exchange if all goes according to plan.

Agree 5.1. is ur best bet. the others dont hold a candle it the TM hi cap. I run dual secondarys, I use to have a glock 23 and a hi capa, now i have two hi capas. not that the glock is a BAD gun, but if u want the better of the three choices ,HI CAPA HAND DOWN...

I have both and there's no comparison. KJW KP-05 are good also.

Full auto glocks are known to develop cycling issues.
They become costly to maintain and troublesome. Personally, I would prefer the 4.3 Hicap hands down.

I asked myself the same questions a month or two back. Decided on the 4.3 Hicapa because it retained the compact look, is touted as being crazy reliable, and has so much opportunity for aftermarket upgrades it's crazy. Just look up ILLusion and his hicapa upgrading goodness.
The 5.1 is a good idea too. |

If you're tempted by full auto, there are ways to convert a Hi-Capa in to full auto.
Keep in mind, it won't be select fire. It's full auto only. ... Sometimes, that's a good thing. |

I have an opportunity to produce an item to convert any Hi-Capa to full auto, but I'm not sure if the product is marketable enough to warrant attempting to meet the huge minimum order quantity.

Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't there a "poor mans" full auto mod that involves a bit of filing down/cutting of a certain part?
I've heard that if you wear out a certain part of a GBB too much (just through regular use) it *may* become full auto... Maybe I heard wrong but that's kind of what it sounded like. I'll try and bring up the post I saw it in.

If you're referring to the mods that re-work the sear and/or hammer, I highly recommend AGAINST that mod, as it's not safe and is destructive. When the sear and hammer is re-worked to achieve full auto, the user is essentially removing the safety features that are inherent to the 1911/2011 design, and the hammer/sear engagement is also more precarious. The number of shots released is also unpredictable and the gun may continue firing after the trigger is released. Accidental discharges can happen once this modification is done. For safety reasons, I suggest nobody do this mod. If you're referring to self-modification of the blowback unit, that can be done, but it's work that not everybody can perform to a high degree of accuracy in machining (a Dremel tool doesn't cut it if you want to do it well), and it requires more than cutting away material. Material also needs to be added. In any case, self-modification of the blowback unit can be done, but you're still working with a heavier part. My initial point of this project was because the product is lighter than the OEM part, so that additional benefits are achieved (faster cycling speed and lower gas consumption.)

I did the self modification (this was through trial and error though, the xtreme hadn't been released at this point), and I'd rather buy a drop-in part rather than go through the trouble of doing all that work again.
The drop in part ILLusion might be manufacturing would be overall stronger than any self modification, and more resistant to wear and tear. So far the people who have done the mod have filled in the required area with sheet plastic, which will wear down faster than aluminum due to the friction generated. |

Well then. I guess I didn't hear the other side of the story that you could make it a safety hazard. I figured as much anyways as it's probably there for a reason and you shouldn't mess around with parts unless you know what they do, understand their function and possible adverse side effects.

you're choosing 2 very differant animals. base your choice on what you want out of a sidearm. if you want pure control and precision than get the hicapa. if you want to cramp your face smiling after shooting than get one of the full autos. reliability is very differant though. if you want lasting power than hicapa. full auto sidearms are purely for fun...you'll have an empty mag from target because you were distracted by how much fun it is to shoot.
