Silencer misalignement
Hi,
I've just received my AAC SCAR-SD silencer with flash hider. It works really well for reducing the audible sound -but there's a huge problem. It fits at a very slight angle, but unfortunately, this angle is enough for the BBs to hit it, thus destroying anykind of precision that I had. And I'm probably the cause, as I had it out of my gunbox for testing and left it a few hours at an angle, the stock on the floor and the silencer on the wall. It was shooting without a single problem before this. Any ideas to get it back straight? Conker

Had this issue with a couple of guns I have owned.
What brand gun are you putting it on? Clones are notorious for having shitty threading on their barrels.

Nope, the problem is really the silencer. It's a QD, so it fits on the included flash hider's threads. I didn't have this problem with a barrel extension I used before.

Well without seeing your setup I'd have to guess that the inner threads on the can are an interferance fit and you'll need to force them straight again.
I have the VFC version of the AAC and I haven't been able to get mine to budge, including some serious poking of solid objects with it so I can't give you more advice.

Lay it against a wall the opposite way and check intermittently? That's almost a joke but it might work.

Maybe thread the muzzle brake onto the barrel extension so you have something to apply force on.
Stick the can on the brake & a pen in the other end of the barrel then find a nice square corner like a mitre box. Tweak the barrel extension straight and then roll the can while the pen is up against a chunk of paper. When it stops making a circle and just makes a dot you'll be done.
