mp5 help

hey so for next season im looking to change up my cyma 049j. i was so surprised with the rof, fps. distance and power of this gun ive decided to turn this baby into like a small heavey machine gun lol.

right now i have the smooth regular handgaurd. i want to put a forgrip on it so i need the RIS/RAS rails/handgaurds. if i were to buy them can i just easily take off the handgaurd i have now and slip it on or would i have to disasemble anything? also i have the sliding stock so my battery goes in the handgaurd so would the ris/ras handgaurd fit ontop of the battery?

Second i want to get a silencer. i looked and my barrel is threaded so will any silencer fit or do i have to look for a specific size?

thanks in advance for the help
steve

I'm not sure about the hand guard thing. It should just slip off and you can put together the RIS/RAS and just tighten the screws.

As for the silencer, check to see which way the ends are threaded. They're usually 14mm however as to the direction of the threading it can be either CW or CCW (that is: + or - threading if you look online it will usually say something like -14mm or -14mm threading). There is also the option of getting a CCW to CW or vice versa adaptor so if the silencer you want is only offered in CCW and you have CW threading just get the adaptor and you're good to go.

There are several ris units out there that will fit a large battery and a few that won't (jg ris will NOT fit any battery except a tiny lipo)
They all fit on the same. Just slip on the tabs and put the pin in.
Try to get a metal ris instead of the plastic as the rails can be pulled off the plastic. Not easily, but it can happen.

Your silencer adaptor is 14mm counterclockwise so the majority of silencers will go on without a problem. Stick with a short one.

Good luck

I don't think there is a C-mag or drum mag for an MP5... You should also consider buying a new inner barrel to extend through the silencer, and get a new hop-up rubber to improve your groupings a bit.
Other than that, have you considered opting for a higher ROF build?

are you talking about plastic hand guards with rails like the first factory large or metal ris like the one cyma makes? As far as the metal ris handguard is concerned there is a little assembly required (it's just a retaining bracket. No extra screws or takedown required) There's no room for a battery with the ris (you need a battery box mounted on the rails) Your best bet is to get a large handguard with rails, but they're costly.

DRUM MAG

As for the RIS, it depends on the model. Some have an inner insert that acts as an outer barrel that you might have to disassemble to add on. (JG).
