Recommendations for 72-hour Pack

OK, i'm looking for a 72 hour Pack. I know of the 5.11 Rush 72 hour. But I am looking for some others so I can compare and read reviews.

Note. This is not for Airsoft. This will have real world applications. Must come in one variety of Desert Camo, preferable Coyote Brown or Tan.

Kelty MAP 3500 is the shit- although if you can come up with a more specific description of your needs you can expect a more advanced recommendation from the community.

I'm using the Tri-Color desert camo Camelbak BFM right now. Works pretty good, can carry a lot, an it was tie down straps for a radio.
LA Police Gear has them at the cheapest price I've seen. Most retailers in Canada I've seen have them for $300+ an LA Police Gear has them for $149

If you got a lot of cash, you can get a Kifaru or Mystery Rance.

Theres also the RAID packs, oneshottactical.com sells the TAG ones an GenII ATS ones.

What are you looking for though like H-G said. Something to carry a radio? Or just live out of if you are rolling in a vehicle, or dismounted patrolling, etc?

Searching the army.ca an lightfighter forums would probably be good to. Some good reviews there.

Pricey but worth it. I have an older style in OD. I wish they'd had the Coyote when I bought mine.

Kelty 3500 and Eagle/TT/LBT/BHI 3-day with frame sheet are the most comfortable bags I've used.

Kifaru and TAG are fairly stiff from the factory and take a while to break in. In your case I don't think that'd be a problem. Load it up and do PT with it on.

I've been looking into the Camelbak talon, the Camelbak Motherload, and the Motherload 500.

Anyone know were I can get some good solid pics/review of these bags, or a store in the Petawawa area where I can look in and see them?

Dunno if he's reviewed these particular bags, but this guy does some great, detailed equipment reviews...

A lot of backpacks in there. Lots of ideas and reviews.
It's a gear whore forum, so it's full of good info.

The Talon is more of a 24/day/assualt pack.

The Motherload is a bit bigger. I used the Motherload(original, not 500) last year on tour as a daypack/manpack bag when I was patrolling. If you aren't going to be carrying to much an are mounted then it should fill the need you want.

Well ya, I should be working out of a Bison. Either as CP or on CLPs. But no more then say a week or 2 outside. I just want a bag that can hold my shit, and I can take it on walks when need be.

But as you know everything is subject to change and with the number of Jimmy's in my trp odds are they will nab a few of us for extra stuff.. so I just wana be prepaired... im just wondering if I should A) Mod my TV, or B) get a Rig.

Don't even bother modding your TV, 1-10 is supposed to do the first fielding for the new vests (TT and Sorde) that were decided on a couple months back. Roto's after them should have them as GI.

A Motherlode with your sleeping gear in a compression sack/valaise should work out for yea.

Also, before buying a rig, I'd check with your CoC. On my tour the NSE wasn't allowed any non-issue rigs. As for modding the tac vest CP Gear has some good pouches, etc for that.

I highly doubt NSE would be part of the Trials. Thats more of a BG an OMLT/POMLT thing.
