1600mAh. Just make sure that this is Mini 2/3A Ni-MH cells that we are talking about here, and not something that's physically larger.

You could go larger, but you'd either need a PEG, or a battery bag.

8.4v 1400mah/1600mah "mini" battery packs...as said, in 2/3A cell size. They work great. A 9.6v mini pack will probably not fit tight handguard spaces.

I personally do not like the mini 9.6v 2200mah butterfly packs...can't recall what the cell size is...sort of between a AA and AAA. Numbers aren't everything.

PEQ boxes/battery bags are options...but a lot of guys don't like the extra stuff/wires hanging off their guns.

LiPo batteries are super compact and pack a lot of punch. Care must be taken in using them properly...and understanding that is probably the biggest hurdle for most.

+1 on the LiPo, but a 1600mah 7.4v LiPo would be comparable to a 1500mah 9.6v NIMH. I've yet to remember to check my ROF in Amos' chrono so I don't have the solid numbers yet lol
But if you run a LiPo, be sure to read as much as you can about them first, lest you risk injuring yourself
