Which is Real? Which is Airsoft?
Which is real Steel? which is Airsoft?
I can't believe how good a job G&G did with the reproduction of this rifle. Sorry I don't have more/better, photos, but I will try to get better ones up ASAP.

Left = Airsoft
Right = Real Steel I've seen the airsoft version up close...that gun is built very well with lots of attention to detail, not to mention it has lots of metal !!!

Left = RS
Right = Airsoft Unless... that's a Black special..... Then it'd be vice versa.. |

I would say right is a Swiss arms black special. Reason - none of the airsoft 550's to my memory are totally black, out of the box that is.

The with of the body is a giveaway. Left is thicker.
And you can see part of the clear mag on the right one, wich look like the real deal.

lol I dunno. I've never gone to bed with the RS. Wouldn't be able to tell the difference

Also the cocking handle on the right one looks more robust... whereas the left one looks a little flimsy for RS

My guess is the right is real steel because the receiver looks slightly thinner. Most AEGs typically have slightly wider receivers than their real steel counterparts to accomodate the mechbox.

Keep in mind it's 5.56, its not a big heavy round!

Yes but still... given how far the cocking handle comes out I doubt the manufacturers would put shitty cocking handle on it... Cocking handles break all the time on RS rifles. I've broken cocking handles on C9s before and the "tactical" cocking handle on the C7A2s break all the time as well.
But then again they do make the shitty "tactical" cocking handles for the C7A2.

PG,
We've broken 10% of the cocking handles on our unit's issued A2's. (The new "tactical" extended ones) Had a discussion with the EME's on it already, and they're considering putting in a solid pin instead of the roll pin. NS

Roll pins don't belong anywhere near high stress parts, IMHO.
