Hey Kev... any chance you can get me a good picture of places where these things could use a thin recoil bumper?

Sweet...it's about the only rifle that I like seeing in its tan version.

I haven't handled a lot of AEG SCARS...if you have, is the stock less bulbous-"dolphin-tail" like than the AEG versions?

If you turn your lower receiver upside down...does the bolt release lever&housing fall out? Griffin and I were test fitting mags into his just his lower and couldn't figure out why the engagement angles between the nub on the mag and the bottom of the lever arm...then we noticed that the assembly had be pushed up out of position.

Really liking the simplicity of the whole thing. Can't wait to see the WE KAC PDW GBBR...so far the prototypes of the bolt assembly looks more SCAR-ish than M4-ish.

WE SCAR
Here is what I think is causing all the broken stock hinge plates (part #66):
***NO...mine has NOT broken!***

This is the plastic stock hinge plate (#66)
- notice the faint vertical lines to the left & right...this is where the recoil rod assembly slams into when the gun is fired.

This is the end of the recoil rod assembly. It sits flush with the end of the receiver so the plastic stock hinge plate can slide over. I know some guys are saying to put a piece of rubber/neoprene between the end of the rod to act as a buffer but I think it would only be a temporary fix!

Upper receiver: Here you can see the bolt (#53) on the left and the recoil spring/rod assembly on the right. Just from my first few shots I knew right away that this guns recoil is way too hard. There is way too much "metal on metal" when it recoils. I believe that the recoil spring is too weak and the bolt is too heavy = BROKEN STOCK HINGE PLATE (#66)

Bolt (#53) & recoil rod & spring assembly: Somehow a buffer needs to be installed between these two parts. This would lessen the shock transferred to the hinge plate. A CNC metal hinge plate would solve this problem and I'm sure it's just a matter of time before that happens!

Bolt (#53) - This is the face of the bolt where it slams into the recoil rod...this thing is HEAVY!

RS M4 grips fit the WE SCAR just fine. You can see from my pics above that I have the Hogue Monogrip AR-15 grip on it and she fits like a glove!

PMags are much easier to mod for the WE mags than for the Systema PTW...

Got mine yesterday in black. Very nice. FPS is kind of low compared to my WE M4 which is way hot! (560-70 fps)
But RA has their adjustable valve sets which will fix both!

GBB rule! (well sort of lol)
