Jury-rigged batteries!

This thread serves a practical purpose for me. I made two mistakes: First I purchased the wrong variant of my AEG, buying one which was wired to take batteries in an AN/PEQ case in the front of the gun rather than through the stocktube, as I'd wanted. Then, foolishly thinking rewiring the gun would be a piece of cake, I put in an order for a set of Crane Stock batteries and a new Crane stock, and only then disassembled my rifle. Having no job and all of thirty dollars to my name, I can't expect to get my gearbox rewired and the necessary modifications made to my weapon, so I plan to wing it for the moment - tape my batteries to each other and tape the resulting mess to my foregrip.

If anyone else here is in the habit of taping batteries to the foregrips of their rifles, I'd love to see a few examples. Thanks!

you can buy a cheap battery bag for about 10 dollars, thats what i use. But if you cant do that I suppose a couple of zip ties could work.

P.S. this should be in the discussion fourm

If you have no job and $30 to your name... Airsoft batteries should be the least of your worries.

there is no right or wrong way to do it. Be creative. I wouldn’t use elastic bands because those break easy. A cut up sock works. Zip ties, Velcro straps. Go to MEC and for $4 you can buy different sized sheaths. They sell one for a Leatherman multi tool that fits a mini type perfectly snug. They have other sizes that may fit other sized batteries. Find a way to attach the sheath to the gun, then swapping the battery in and out because easier than stock.
