Pantac's New SPC Armor Vest
The SPC vest was developed as a replacement for the Marines IOTV and CIRAS body armor. Whilst the SPC Vest lacks in protection, it compensates by increasing the mobility of the operator but a huge margin as compared to the marine Corps standard issued armor. The so-called "Scalable Plate Carrier" uses the same enhanced small arms protective plates and Kevlar ballistic inserts as the Corps' Interceptor body armor and modular tactical vest, but in a more streamlined, less bulky package than vests issued to most Marines. The SPC body armor is currently being issued as standard alongside with the IMTV (Improved Modular Tactical Vest) to the United States Marine Corps. Featuring a modified PALS webbing on the upper chest, the SPC Armor embodies the doctrine that a more mobile shooter is a more lethal shooter. Applying to both situations found in real life combat situations and with Airsoft skirmishing, the SPC vest from Pantac gives you the upper hand in maneuverability, general protection, as well as load bearing capabilities. The arm and neck holes are much larger than the traditional CIRAS vests for much greater ease of movement allowing you to address the threat much faster. Made of light weight abrasion and water resistant 1000D Invista Cordura fabrics with YKK zippers, ITW Nexus & UTX buckles with Mil-Spec. Sewing Seams and UTX top quality brass snap buttons adopted. Mil-Spec. Velcro is good for over 20,000 uses. Mil-Spec. 420 denier Nylon liner improving durability and water resistance. All Pantac gear is made to comply with Heavy Duty Military Specifications. Large size is best suited for chest between 38 and 44, and a waist over 33+

Looks good, much better than the initial pics up on Red Wolf. Would a smaller size be any cheaper? That's quite a bit for a replica with no pouches, especially since it's so similar to the Strike Carrier below it, which comes with pouches for $100 less. For $259.99 (and a lot of patience) you might just pick up a genuine used SPC on eBay.
I don't mean to pick on AU; they're pretty pricey everywhere... I'm just curious why Pantac has set such a high MSRP on these? |

That looks extremely breathable and easy, if it were in country I bet they'd sell like hotcakes.
