Misfiring semi auto mode

Hey ya'll. I have a TM/ JG hybrid M16 A3 with firing issues.

The problem is: In semi mode, if you depress the trigger quickly and fully...1 round discharges as expected. HOWEVER, if you depress the trigger only half way and hold, it will fire full auto.

Full auto works fine. So does Safe

Now I'm waiting on an e-mail from the previous owner for more info, but is it possible in airsoft to have a weapon that actually fires like "Safe, 3 shot burst, Full," or is mine just broken somewhere?

You should always depress your trigger fully.

It's not broken. It's normal to go full-auto on semi if trigger is depressed halfway. Get a mosfet with a 3-round burst if you want that feature.

I don't usually use the gun, I let my friends do, lol.

Joking aside, I tested all my other weapons, and the M16 is the only one that does that. What confuses me is how fast you have to depress the M16 trigger, compared to my other aeg's. My mp5 shoots single in semi everytime.

Oh well I guess.

Would such an item be on RedWolf by chance? I like doing research before I buy things.

Most folks would replace the cutoff lever inside the gearbox when that happens.
