my first m4! scratch built!

not too long ago i looked at my airsoft wall and decided : i needed an armalite! i knew that if i bought a complete aeg there would be near no stock parts on it. so i opted for a TOTAL scratch build... i had to find screws for the mechbox (now problem solved i got 80$ worth of metric screws lol) , custom make/weld a stock screw, as the one included wasn't long enough... and re-work the upper's threads, since the body is a g&p, to fit the madbull kit.

mechbox is a g&p reinforced mechbox that i tweaked a little :
replaced the bearings with plain bushings... i dont trust bearings,
changed the spur gear for a tm one since the g&p one was crooked and making shimming impossible, piston/cylinder head is a element silent kit(witch work amazingly well) but lowers the fps! . i had BIG troubles with airseal. stock metal nozzle on the mechbox was sealing like shit in the g&p hop up. i played with brands to find a combination of cylinder head/nozzle/hop up to find the one that would seal the best! bought a prometheus cylinder head / nozzle and they were not sealing at all together... the nozzle was loose on the cylinder head... lol meh! if i remeber the combination that is in here is : element silent head--element nozzle---element red hop up with orings on it.

inner barrel is prometheus 530mm with a (i think) guarder clear, i wanted a prometheus bucking but it was out of stock when i ordered...

receiver : G&P noveske (fire pig) type B
body furnitures: g&P kit exept charging handle latch witch is ka
front end: madbull jp rifles 12" kit with the smallest barrel (with the longest one the gun measures 52")
stock : G&P marine battery stock (running a 11.1v lipo)
grip : G&P target grip
motor plate: king arms from airsoftparts.ca
scope : ehobby asia cheapo 30$ scope (does the job very well)
launcher : D-BOY 3-in-one long version (nades: Madbull M922A1 120rd)
silencer : ka lightweight 250mm (with the silent head and this the report is very soft -- pofpofpofpof )

this thing costed me in the 4 digits $$$$ but i'm proud of the result

now enought with the blabla! GUN PORN!!

(sorry for craptastic lighting and point and shoot quality)

Sexy as hell man! You know I love it. I'm gettin one of the JP rifles front kits (7" kit though.. not the long 12" one lol).

Really sweet though.. I love it!

Lose that glass, and get an acog. Would suit the gun far better in my opinion.

Overall pretty nice. Not exactly my kind of rifle, but kinda cool nonetheless.

You rat bastard. I have been building almost the exact same setup (body, stock, front end, pistol grip, tactical latch), but in OD, for the better part of 6 months. I also have a Prometheus Perfect Chamber *NEO* set with a madbull 590/6.03 and Firefly hard hopup with BigOut H-nub, plus a TriggerMaster to run it in semi-only. I plan at running mine at around 450 w/ .2's (Modify s130 spring). I've just been waiting *forever* on the new Modify TORUS mechbox to come in at airsoftparts.ca so I can finish it off, although I have been thinking of picking up the T7075 mechbox that Duy carries instead and pimping it out with Prommy double torque gears.

One question - mind lending me your rethreading tool so I can cut my threads too?

Needs a more sexier scope mount =p.
You can always get a standalone launcher for the 203 as a sidearm =D

lol ! i used a dremel with a VERY small "milling" bit and cutted material on each thread (was long but worked)

thanks!
i wanted to put one of theses but i like big batteries and hates peq boxes sooo i wanted a battery stock

lol the gl is there for shit an giggles (and for backup lol) i plan on building a removable RIS wood stock for it to use it as a stand alone

for the scope thing ... i'll still have to play on this side, the scope was for a "sniper" look with the long jp barrel, but with the short barrel an silencer i'll probably get something else... needs iron sights too, had installed mp7 folding sights... looked pretty neat but was getting in the way of the scope.

thanks for the comments guys!
