Camo options and color mixing?
Hey guys, quick question for you.
I have a full set of Multicam BDUs (yes, I know, some of you hate them), and I recently purchased an OD MOLLE vest. My question is this, when I pick up the various pouches to add to my vest, should I buy Multicam patterned ones, which will match my BDUs, or should I go with standard OD? Any input would be appreciated, thanks |

Depending on your surroundings, OD can clash with the multicam, so its up to you. I'd suggest getting either multicam or coyote pouches for the rig, and maybe spraying the vest itself with tan paint to blend it a bit more.

I have multicam BDU's, but all my gear is OD. That way, I can switch out to my woodland MARPAT or CADPAT with only a change of BDU's, all the gear is compatible. True, not exactly like having a full set of gear for each camo pattern, but it works well. This is kinda like what the marines do with coyote. They have brown coyote gear that works well with both their desert MARPAT and woodland MARPAT.
I find OD gear works OK with multicam. |
