Does anyone here have a video of how to strip a H&K mp7 for painting?
Hi there, I am fairly new to airsoft and don't know much but I've just bought a H&K mp7 from army and navy for $149 and just need to paint it with ?Krylon(gloss, flat, satin)black? to make it look much better than clear. I am just afraid of destroying it because I opened it up and then can't put it back together again. Does anyone know if there is a video on youtube or something that show someone field stripping a mp7? I will post pics later in the day, it is still in the package and any info would be helpful. thanks

You'll want to do this:
Prime Krylon Flat Matte clearcoat As for taking apart, http://www.mechbox.com/aegs is the place to go. Although the MP7 link isn't working right now (I'm assuming it's because they dont' have one to take apart yet. Scour youtube in that case I guess. The other option is not taking it apart and just using painters tape and painting it. Some people have done that with success although you apparently won't get as good of a finish as taking it apart and painting it.

So I may return it. I can take more pics if it will help get more information about this gun. :? |

Batteries can be found anywhere, or custom made.
Mags can be ordered from overseas (assuming that it's a TM clone and 99% TM compatible)

Just be aware that the only airsoft MP7 in production that isn't a lemon through and through is the Tokyo Marui. This gun will have a very, very limited lifespan. And the weakest part - the tappet plate - is almost impossible to find.

I don't have a video but I do have a link to a guide that can help you.
http://www.airsoftretreat.com/forums...0161.msg438764 Now the first picture already has the sights off, which you should be able to figure out how to take off yourself. That and the flash hider has been screwed off. Best of luck. |
