Basic Intro Gear ?
Hi,
What would be the gear that everyone would consider basic that a noob should buy? - Safety googles (of course) - Holster for secondary weapon - Pouches for ammo ? What else should I look into getting ? And if you have some recommended retailers, it would be appreciated. |

Well to start things off, a Holster and sidearm are not a huge priority. Depending on what you have for a weapon best thing to do is get a simple Molle platform or chest rig and then stock up on some mags. Also make sure you have a good battery and charger because there is nothing worse than leaving a game because of a dead battery.
Goggles are extremelly important, dont cheap out!

A basic kit generally consists of:
The rifle (of course). Good eye protection. Camo clothing. Good boots. A vest or chest rig to carry mags. Something to carry water in (a camelbak or belt canteen). Mags. A good battery charger. Good ammo (bb bastard). Additional kit that many find useful: Speedloader. Sling. Gloves. Knee pads. Drop pouch. A sidearm (pistol). A holster for your sidearm. Spare battery. AI propane adapter. Backup rifle. Small first aid kit.

I am the prefered retailer.
I have all the stuff you need to start and more. I'm just one province to the Left. Would you like a quote for all that gear or start slower? Cheers |

Generally I buy from the classifieds. You can get some great deals there. If you're eighteen years of age or older I would highly recommend getting age verified and checking out the classifieds, you'll save alot of money over buying new. Even if you're not age verified I believe that the gear and clothing section can still be accessed.

The Gear and Clothing section doesn't require you to be AVed. I bought a bunch of my rigging from there before I got AVed - kinda ended up doing it backwards. Usually people say to get your Rifle first then your gear, I went backwards. O.o
Still need to get me a nice new CIRAS vest of some sort though... |

I PM'd bruce to get age eventually or i'll just go to a game and get verified there if it takes too long. I'll definately check the classified. Thanks a lot!
