Need Advice: ICS M4 S-System
Hey everyone, new to this forum. I've recently been introduced to the game of airsoft and have done a bit of research on which airgun to purchase. I am looking at the ICS M4 S-System as one I am interested in. Since I have never ordered an Air Soft gun I would like some experienced advice on this particular brand of M4S. I am mainly concerned about the quality of the product and how many cheap plastic is used. I have played with some dboys and TM full metal guns as well as some more plasticy G&G guns. Where does ICS fall in between? Are there other brands of M4S you would rather get yourself?
Thanks in advanced, and sorry for the noob question; Brian C |

I hope you're over 18 and on the way to becoming age verified.
The ICS S.I.R. has alot of metal pieces. The receiver, unfortunately, is not.

You can order the Metal Upper Reciever with no problems of it coming across the border. There is no markings or serial numbers on that part. Check Blazingtoys.com or speedytoys.com. Mind you Speedy ships UPS so expect brokerage but Blazing does have a higher price on the uppers but shipps USPS.

The ICS M4 is a great gun. It's split mechbox design is really easy to work with.
UNFORTUNATELY, you'll probably never come across a metal body in your lifetime. They are the rarest things on the planet. (maybe not but I never see them) |

What do you mean by rare ? you can just simply buy a complete metal ICS M4 since you are already AV. It always pop up on classified.

Thanks for all the replies, looking foward to getting AV at my next local game. I know that ICS uses proprietary internals but are the accessories universal? Or do I need to buy accessories made specifically for ICS systems?

anything rail mounted is universal. many ICS parts are proprietary but not really enough that you'd have a problem customizing it.
