Shipping Gear
Hello
I live in Thunder Bay Ontario, a short 45 minute drive from the United States, and a place you ship packages called Ryden's. I am looking to order roughly 140-150$ USD of gear from ehobbyasia. Shipping to my door is 88$ USD and shipping to Ryden's is 94$ USD. I was wondering if there is any benefits to ship to the states, pick it up and drive it back, or if shipping to my door is better. (This is all camo gear and a single box of magazines, nothing prohibited). I am looking at the possibility of huge delays at customs for shipping. What does ASC think? Is 6 USD worth it? Thanks for your time. |

No, just get it shipped to your door, 45min drive you'll use over 6$ in gas, there should not be a big customs delay as long as its not restricted.

if you ship it down there and try to bring it back across you may get dinged with duties, not sure exactly how that works.

why don't you get it from ebaybanned? they pay shipping costs. I dunno if they pay boarder costs though, thats actually a good question.
Remember once I brought an RC plane across the boarder, cost me 250 for the plane plus 60 for it to come across.. was pissed. |
