007 airsoft
.1 Does 007 airsoft have good customer service?
.2 Is the mp5 good? http://www.007airsoft.com/products/htm/aeg-gg-hk.htm (at the bottom) It says CAS version so i am not sure if it is good or not |

1) Yes he's a trusted source.
2) I don't know, haven't handled one but if you look around people are saying that they use the same internals as their G&G counterparts except cheaper externals others say it's a G&G Combat Machine hybrid with cheaper externals etc. 3) I don't know, but from what I'm hearing the blow back system isn't very good, it's more akin to an EBB than a GBB (well.... that's cause it is.... an EBB). If that extra little bit of blow back is a selling point for you then might as well get it...

I was firing a G&G last night, it's a very good system for what it is designed to do: look neat. It's not meant to be useful in any way.

It's very much of a gimick type of thing. Basically the thin tin fake dust cover goes back and forth in time with each shot. There may be a faint clikety-clack sound...but it's drowned out by the piston hitting the cylinder head.
It does seem durable though. I've put hundreds (600+) of shots through a couple of them and there's zero wear/tear. Nothing seems to be hitting against anything with enough force to damage/wear any part of the blow back piston/spring/assembly/cover. Kudos to G&G for their design. It is functional (as in it works, but there's no need for it), easy to maintain (there's none needed) and doesn't tear apart the AEG (see the old Guarder auto-back kits). But the internals are so-so...and the externals leave a lot to be desired (not trying to be too picky...but you're getting what you're paying for certainly). And the spring release is a nice-touch. |

My friend have one. Nice rate of fire. Good material quality (internals/externals).

It's not terrible, but it's nothing to brag about either.
I'd class G&G as the bottom teir of "brand name guns". I think I'd personally go for a JG over a full plastic G&G.

What about the high-end metal (save for the lower receiver) ones? I know the internals are the same. I'm looking at the GR16 R4 Commando. I've seen some reviews and have heard nothing but good things about it except for the crap magazine. Is it true that G&G are fully compatible with TM accessories?
Sorry to thread-jack. |

I bought my MP5A4 from 007 a few years ago and have seen Ken every few months for somthing for my self or friends. Always good customer service once he remembers you but as of today when I left there he said he has 50+ emails sitting in his inbox so its understandable he might not remember some one right off the bat but he does remember the orders so that helps alot.
All in all Ken does what no one else in canada can really do and that is get the guns in to the country. A good guy and pretty descent prices. Always a pleasure to do business with him.
