The simulated blowback is CRAP. The bolt barely moves back, maybe a quarter-inch.

really? i saw a youtube video of it and it looked like atleast an inch and a half, are you sure that you're talking about this one with the air powered blowback and not electric?

I got one. Doesn't move back much but it sounds Nice. Also the spring Tension release is nice...

Anyone who say the G&G blowback only moves a quarter inch doesn't know how it works.
http://www.redwolfairsoft.com/redwol...l?reviewID=201 YouTube - Top Tech M16 R4 Shootting test G&G blowback (to be correct, faux bolt cycle) only works properly when there are BBs loaded. The fake travel is comparable to systems that use a direct linkage to the piston, but without the issue of the faux bolt unable to return to battery when the piston itself is partially drawn back.

G&G is the only bolt blowback aeg that is good enough to take a second glance at. it's the only one I know of that the bolt dosen't stop at the back if you let go on full auto and the piston is at the back.

What about performance and reliability? thats more my issue, also, the blowback looks nice, but does it actually add any kick?

how about just general performance, rate of fire, accuracy, reliability etc
|
April 7th, 2009, 17:38 | #10 |
It has a pretty high rate of fire, I'm using .28s and it's pretty accurate with those.
Dunno much about reliability yet cuz I just got it last week.

i was thinking of buying this one as well and i have a few questions about it.
1.does it come with metal bushings? 2.is the disassembly the same as a standard m4? 3.is the hopup metal or plastic? 4.is it compatible with other m4 mags? 5.is this better than the mp5 blowback counterpart? Carl |

its got a standard G&G mechbox, so brass bushings and crap, and uses regular mags, other than that i dont know

When I asked about this TopTech, general consensus was that it wasn't worth the money at the time (around $600 before shipping) though at $400 from CapitalAS seems to be a sweeter deal. If I remember correctly (so someone correct me if I'm wrong please) at what I was told, internally is pretty much all proprietary. I don't remember if anyone mentioned about it using standard M4/M16 mags though.
