G3 or SCAR OR SR25K

Opinions please! (brand wise i'm probably going between CA (or any other company you guys may recommend) for the SCAR and for the G3 a JG)

For the G3 i probably will get the RAS version.

Thanks

EDIT: also just saw another AEG that piqued my interest, a JG (or other company) SR25K

It depends on your style of play. SR25 are more DMR. G3 and SCAR are more assault.

The SCARs have cheaper (M16-style STANAG) magazines while G3 and SR25 have proprietary.

It also depends if you're aiming for a specific look or not.

I'd go with the Classic Army version of each of those guns. They're all solid performers.. the SR25 and G3 are long guns that work really well as DMRs.

Hmm ok, what if I add an M14 into the picture, what would you say then?

I am starting to lean more towards the G3 due to it being a slightly more reliable than the SR25 (or so i heard). Personally though, i would not be sniper as much, i've never tried that role, so i can't say i am any good at that.

as for the SCAR as i do more research, i see that the SCAR may require more maintenance over its lifetime.

and also may i ask, what is that guy holding in ur picture? its quite unique looking

I have a G&G SCAR-L and it's fantastic. Great FPS and ROF right out of the box.

Reliable, rugged and sexy too

Go to a game and actually hold some of the rifles. See what fits you the best. The M14, G3, SR25, and SCAR all have VERY different ergonomics. It's a bitch having to adjust your play style to the gun. Get a gun that suits the way you play.

All guns require maintenance, some more than others

The guy in my picture is olding a Tavor TAR-21. There's no airsoft available yet, but quite soon there will be the Ares/Cybergun and shortly after the TSI one.

I'm not sure about the SR25 and G3 since I never own any of them but what I can suggest for the SCAR is VFC SCAR-L or H.

I have an SCAR-L, it shots right out of the box even it's plastic bushing and clear piston, but still I put almost 15 k in there and still no issue. I would upgrade it when it's break and plus I want to know how this gun last long in stock form.

My VFC SCAR-L doesn't need much maintenance. There are only a few that I usually do after each game.
-Clean the inner barrel.
-Lub some silicone oil on hop up rubber, not to let it try
-Cleaning the external of the gun,

Like I mention, I don't upgrade any internal yet of the gun but it's performance out of the box, still I did a few
-I bought 3 kind of tight bore which 300 mm for CQB, 363 mm for Outdoor game, 509 mm for being marksman because I have 3 different kind of outer barrel.
-Put a new G&P hop up rubber to get more accuracy.

Just only those two upgrade this gun is shot far beyond a few upgrade gun on the field in their internal stock form.

You guys have been very helpful

I've actually narrowed it down to the M14 or the G3.

Both of which i've held before.

They both feel nice to me but i may just go for the Cyma M14 SOCOM so as to avoid rails and the temptation to add stuff onto it like i did with my old P90.

And also, are all games far away from Downtown Toronto? and how do you get to them? and are they all serious games, or are there fun ones where you play games but have fun and not have some theme or name to it like Operation whatever?

In the good weather there's often games at Wasaga Paintball hosted by Blackbear. They're 18+ events, but usually just fun skirmishes or scenario games if there's enough people.
