Marui M1911A1 parts compatability
Hi,
I'm in a hurry, a friend of mine is going to order some stuff from wgc-shop, and as some of you know, I own a Marui M1911A1 GBB(Thanks for the help about dissassembly of the gun people, you've all been very helpful). I've been wanting to model it very closely after the gun of Big Boss from MGS3 like some of the members of this forum, and now I have a chance. Our customs are really picky about airsoft guns/parts like in Canada (I'm a Canadian living in Turkey, sorry about age verification, I'm over 18), and my friend has an opportunity to order and safely receive airsoft parts, but I have a deadline of about 3 days to choose what I want. So here is my question to those of you who may have had experience with this sort of thing: The M1911A1 parts are mostly sold out (at least the ones that I want to order) and I know that some of the hi-capa parts do fit in with the 1911. http://www.wgcshop.com/pcart/shopper...20BALL%20Parts http://www.wgcshop.com/pcart/shopper...20BALL%20Parts http://www.wgcshop.com/pcart/shopper...20BALL%20Parts http://www.wgcshop.com/pcart/shopper...20BALL%20Parts I have these must have parts for my beloved 1911 project, and I would like to know if they fit in a Marui M1911A1. Are they drop-in accurate or do I have to do some modifications here and there? I looked a bit for a similar topic but frankly none of them really answered my questions, so if anyone has any idea about these items I would really appreciate it. BTW, I also have the Guarder National Match slide and frame on my pistol. Thanks everyone |

yes, they'll fit, although the trigger and hammer may need a slight bit of modding.

Those Hi-Capa parts will for the most part fit as well.

Yeah man, I know they're for the hi-capa, but we only have crw, wgc, uncompany and ehobbyasia sending us airsoft related items, and I couldnt find those parts on any of these sites

Dang, I wish I was lucky as him to have someone experienced like you do all the work. :P
I'm afraid I'll do something wrong and ruin the 60 dollars I've spent on the trigger/hammer... Thanks for the patient answers, really appreciate it. I know my questions are dumb but I'll hopefully change for the better someday soon So the slide release and thumb safety are exactly the same on 1911-hi-capa and/or will fit in drop-in wise? I put a mail alert on those 1911 triggers months ago and still no word from wgc |

So then don't get that trigger. Get the Nova one from Redwolf instead. Last time I checked, they were in stock and made specifically to fit 1911. It is better than the Nine Ball one too, because it has adjustable pull.
The hammer, I used a custom built CNC wire-cut stainless steel hammer set, that includes ring type hammer, hammer strut, valve knocker and sear - all of it provides lighter and smoother trigger pull as well as increased part durability. |

Alright then. I'll place the order on the slide release and the thumb safety, but will talk to some of my friends in the States and see if they can ship me the hammer and trigger. Thanks again
