Baker_Jeff's Lee Enfield No.4 MK1 Project
Here is the project thread for my Enfield. It is to compliment my WW2 Canadian Infantry kit.
My 1/6 scale reference gun: The donor gun: Shell ejecting! Don't know how I'm going to make it work... due to the mag placement, will have to use a dummy Enfield mag. The removed receiver: The wood pieces and the rest: I have the trigger guard and screws, the bands to hold the wood together, front and rear sling swivels, and rear flip up sight on the way from Ebay. The guy will be about 90% real steel. The wood is going to be pretty much hollowed out to fit the Super9 rifle parts inside. Will keep the updates coming!

Cool stuff, funny you decided to use a super9 instead of a vsr or somthing more reputable......

Using it cause it's super cheap, and I need to hack and cut to fit it... don't want to ruin an expensive gun. The first attempt is just a test. If this works out, I'll be doing another one with quality parts.

Unless this M14 is bolt action, I'm afraid I wouldn't consider it :P

Hey Jeff; That is a cool project, can't wait to see her when she's done!
I got a buddy that restores real Enfield Riflles from WW2. If you ever need some refernce material, I am sure that he can help you out. Gordo P.S. It was nice meeting you in person last weekend, hopefully we will get to shoot each other some day!

Updates!
I had to cut/trim alot of the plastic surrounding the receiver: The band that holds the wood stock to the front end is part of the real steel receiver (illegal to buy without a PAL) so I am using parts of the original gun to fabricate it and hold it together. Have to hollow out almost all of the original wood in order for the new parts to fit: Still have awhile to go! View from the top, it's a tight freakin fit. Will cut or bend the bolt to replicate the sharp angle of the Enfield bolt.

Hey, I saw this done using a VSR 10....finished product looked pretty good although the angle f the stock at the grip looked a bit odd. The builder did not use any Enfield parts but fabricated all by hand.
Anyway....good luck |

OMG Updates!!!
Front end finished. Please excuse the inner barrel sticking out, just need to tuck it back in. Finally received the trigger guard today. Next up is to fabricate a new trigger, and modify the bolt to replicate the right parts. Here's how she looks so far, almost done!
