Sling adaptor mod to fit PTW buffer tube

I have a couple of AEG sling adapters just laying around a couple steel, a couple aluminum, the type that attaches to the buffer tube. I'm wondering if anyone has taken a step drill and modded that to fit on a PTW buffer tube.

A question arises though,
are the dimensions of the both RS and AEG adapters identical so I will have enough space between the inner and outer diameter of the loop that it won't shatter or crack during boring.

I'd buy a RS adapter but I just have so many laying around, and I don't even have an AEG anymore, might as well use them for something eh.

Cheers

The AEG ones won't work with a PTW or a real gun. You need that little tit at the bottom to sit in the groove in the buffer tube, or it will rotate. You can't tighten it enough to stop that. The amount of effort it would take to mill it out (you can't drill it) doesn't justify spending $30 on a real one.

For PTW, you are best to buy real sling plates.

Thanks Mac, that's what I was wondering, it sucks having nothing else to do today...
