The CA M15A4 RIS Carbine

So, I finally got down to Port Credit and got Jeroon to verify me. He's a pretty cool dude, eh? He says it'll be a couple days before my status is updated, but I can barely wait.

Now this is what I've been saving for. The gun, according to many independent reviews, is one of the sturdiest M4A1 replicas in Airsoft. I'd wait a couple more days to check it out, but my security job has unearthly hours, and I'm usually sleeping when I'm not on duty. So I was wondering if someone could save me the trouble, and tell me if any of the retailers carry the gun shown in that picture. My best bet before was 007 Airsoft, but the poor guy just fought the law and the law won. Now he's selling clearsoft.

there aren't many retailers, and none of them have a huge selection, so it won't take 3 minutes to see who has this thing in stock(There is one retailer that has it right now.)

The CA M15 series are solid and heavy as ICS. Externally, only one thing I can say about it that I do not like is that the flat top rail is not mil-spec. As for the handguard section, the series has a solid delta ring set up. My RIS handguard feels solid like they are screwed on tight.

i believe so, what the problem is, is that the receiver is a bit higher than most guns. at least that is what i was always told.

i ave two of this baby
ca m15a4 cqb compact seal and this thing is solid as a rock rate of fire is crazy with a big 8 cell. gearbox is solid as well.
i also have a m15a4 cqb and exact same thing about this gun.
best purchased ive done no regrets.

They fixed the CA receiver height to fit mil-spec last year according to what I've heard. Nice AR man. Get that or an ICS

When I started I did extensive research and settled on the Tactical Carbine version of the Classic Army M15A4 as my first gun. In my opinion it's the best of all the possible Armalite versions. You have the shortened M4 carbine barrel, which makes you less likely to smack your barrel off something when turning quickly, combined with the full stock which houses a large battery. Small batteries don't have near the run time of a large battery, not to mention that the reinforced slip ring (the ring that keeps the fore-grip on) is really stong. While this is mostly a good thing and a big step up over CA's previous M15 versions, it makes changing small batteries in the field very difficult if not impossible.

Classic Army's M15A4 series in general is a big step up over their previous versions and as far as stock armalites go they're probably the best. All metal where the real steel version is, the plastic parts where the real steal version is plastic are made of good quality. CA has a deal with Armalite so you get all the proper markings. Plus that deal also goes to show the quality of the manufacture, Armalite wouldn't put their name on a shoddy product.

Internally the gearbox is reinforced metal and all the gears are metal as well. It fires hotter stock then TM's as well, firing at 300-320 fps where your average TM only fires 280-300 fps.

All in all a Classic Army M15 series is a great starter gun if you can afford it. Because it's all metal you don't have to worry nearly as much about breaking it and you won't get any of the wobble that is infamous in stock TM M4/M16's. Unfortunately affording it is the biggest problem, they're not cheap.

To give you an idea of cost (once you get age verified) I got my CA M15A4 from the classifieds, upgraded with a bunch of Systema internals to fire 390fps, for $600 shipped which was a great deal.

I have the carbine and LOVE it. Around 20,000 rounds and counting with no problems. Good power, good accuracy, love the trades.

What I mean regarding the flat top rail not being mil-spec is that my GG&G FIRE RAIL and BUIS will not mount properly at all. The best I could do was install a YANKEE HILL EOTECH RISER on it.
