MP5 mounts
I need to know from anyone who has an MP5 and has mounted a scope onto it if the low profile mount will clear the sights. I have the standard sights and they are pretty high and pretty big and I'm not sure if I will see any part of the front sight when viewed through the scope. The low profile mount is alot cheaper for me and I believe would make the gun look better moreso than the higher profile mount, so if you know, give a shout thanks.
P.S. Stupid question I know, but I figure better to ask now then to be pissed off later when I waste my money. That front sight does look pretty damn bigggg...... Low profile example High

I have a Mp5 and you need a high profile mount, or it won't clear the sights...
and it doesn't look that bad, quite good actually

Shit, that blows, you sure?
Its kind of irritating that all these companies would make a low mount specifically for the MP5 (and G3 of course) and then it wont even work. Nice silencer by the way. orange paint...... *tear*... Judging on the belved interior, is that an aftermarket silencer or it really stock? Oh and if you wouldn't mind enlightening me, is the stock foregrip on the TM MP5SD6 plastic?

First off - do NOT buy that CA mount. It sucks ass.
Reason: it is not an uninterrupted rail. Lots of sights won't fit on it. Secondly - If you're using a red dot sight a low mount WILL work. Its not like the dot cant have a chunk of metal behind it (a small bit of your front sight). It's fine. Thirdly - buy this mount: http://www.intrudershop.com.tw/show_...?idproduct=592 It is stupid solid and an aimpoint will clear your front sight with an L mount. In fact, those other mounts are visibly clearing the rear sight. Most sights should be good to go.

Well, a low mount might work for some kind of scope, because the focus point of the scope will be really far infront of the gun, so you won't "actually" see the front sight (I don't know about the rear sight getting in the way of the scope opening), but for an aimpoint which have no magnification, it would be better to use a high profile mount.
For the silencer it's all stock (really for a stock one) and the foregrip is plastic, but some kind of rubberised, not like the rest of the gun. You can choose to go with a low mount, in this case, the red dot of the aimpoint will appear just at the tip onf the front sight, so I think it can be nice too if you don't mind the ring around it. That's the case with my M4, I have and aimpoint with a cantilever mount, and the aimpoint is perfectly aligned with the front sight.

DO NOT use CA (recap). get the G&G version, which is much better built. i have that on mine with an eotech 552 and yes it clears it just fine. and it looks awsome too. here you go, this is mine, you can see it doesn't obstruct your view.
