fps has nothing to do with the battery dude. Thats what the spring does.

Anyways, I use a 8.4v 2400mAh battery. It lasts me a whole day of airsofting.

You can choose any size, type, and a good selection of cells (ie, capacity, the number of mAh). I bought mine from there, 9.6V 4000 mAh large type. Gun is 400 fps, and that battery lasts me all day long and then some.

12V is major overkill man, 8.4 sub C pack will run 400FPS upgrades no problem, all your doing by adding voltage( another cell) is upping the ROF.

12V will fry your gun.

What gun are you using?!?!? All we need is make and model to determine what battery goes with it.

Yeah you are good with a 9.6V, or even a 10.8V max. Beyond that is unnecessary. You'll need mini batteries. You will probably need two, with that setup, considering mini's can't output as much Ah.

i was wondering if u guys never any place that would actually build a customized battery from the ground up, what i mean is if i gave them the dimensions of the battery, chemistry type, Voltage, and mAh they would build it to that specific specifications

yeah that would be fine, but as I said, I would have two just to be sure. With those upgrades you'll be drawing more current. Better off having two and not having to use the second one than having one and having to leave a match early due to lack o' battery.
