Can't remove mechbox from my AK.

So I'm trying to switch springs in my CM042's mechbox, but I can't get the damn mechbox out of the metal body of the gun.

The piece that the selector switch screws into sticks out of it's hole in the metal body, and so when i try and push the mechbox out, it prevents it from moving. Any ideas?

Brilliant, thanks. It had shifted itself to semi auto and thus wouldn't come loose.

no. because i would have thought hed have known what he was doing ...more than myself of course. and then that part should have just fell out on its own. it musta really been wedged in there good

i have experience with g36's, aks, and armalites. and i rate them in that order as to how easy they are to disassemble and re-assemble
i think aks are very simple compared to m types. i hate having to take our m types apart

I had a minor problem, and I sought help to fix it before it became a major problem.

Then you felt the need to enter my thread, post pointlessly, and attract more flaming down upon yourself.

Well played...

ITS PEANUT BUTTER JELLY TIME....

Have fun putting the damn thing together I always end up having to do the selector switch part about 10 times beofre it goes in without falling apart.

Oh it's all back together now, but it's developed compression and double feeding issues. I had fun taking it apart and learning how it works, but now I think its time for Tyson to have a look at it. I'll be PMing him momentarily.
