Purple AK Mag??

this g&p ak mag says its "plum" but the pic just looks kinda black to me. is it really purple?

also. if it really is purplish, whats the history behind a purple ak mag?

Plum is very very dark purple, often almost black unless looked at in sunlight.

Plum polymide furniture (or whatever it's called) was used on late AK-74/AKS-74, RPK-74, and AKSU variants before they went for black plastic. Same with their magazines.

so if i painted a betas furniture a real dark purple like that itd be realistic to some degree?
