Bad Design: D-Boys M4 BB Loader

Hey guys, after receiving a D-Boys M4 BB Loader from ehobby, I noticed that the design of the loader is flawed in one way.

The locking mechanism that releases the plunger to plunge BB's is flawed in a sense that if locked down for long periods of time, it may perhaps damage the springs ability to fully retract. To put this into lamens terms, if you dont release the spring in an AEG, your spring can get damaged over time, especially during the off season. The same principle goes to this.

While you may be thinking that this is silly, it's silly on the manufacturers design to let this happen, maybe perhaps its all a ploy to get more BB loaders.

For safe measure, don't lock the plunger down, I'm sure many of you have this BB loader and if we can swap experiences, I would like to see how "strong" your spring is.

I have the same one. It's more of a "novelty" but you're right, it a POS in terms of loading. The spring gets pressed "shorter than it should be, and doesn't fully push the plunger back up as you mentioned.

One thing you can do to salvage it: unscrew the "mag" casing, and stretch the spring longer and put it back together. Then from that point on, don't lock the plunger down.

It's kind of a cheap item, so it's somewhat expected.

...or the TM. I've been using my TM one for the past 8 months or so, and it's alway stored with the plunger depressed. It still works like new after tens of thousands of BBs put through it (I do a LOT of shooting).

Making a clone of TM, with poor quality material and control, will always end up like a wtf.

One more thing I discovered: You can also trim down the little "barrier" that prevents the BB's from falling into the channel. This can help the BB's go in since the plunger doesn't need to be all the way "up".

i wouldnt worry about the little thing.... unless youre really bored or something
like even if it broke i guess you could at least use it to carry bbs in. it just wouldnt be a speed loader anymore

me personally when we go out shooting around at each other i dont carry speed loaders for hi-caps but theyre good with low and mids. i just fill up a spare mag and put it in my gear or have a ziplock bag of bbs in a pocket. but thats just me and what im comfortable with, its not the most efficient thing ever

Avoid the KA one... they are just as bad I hear, I have a TM one, and have never had an issue with it after 2 years loading probably over 20 000 rounds?

those cheapo standard speedloaders that come with a lot of guns do that too. they always get stuck or some crap. but the clear one with finger grips that came with my bros kirenex works really good

i just dont use any of those. im better at loading a hi-cap out of a bag of bbs that carrying a couple of those around and fiddling with trying to get them to stop getting stuck
