P226 cannot assemble valve knocker spring
i did put the whole thing back together once as i thought how it went back together. but when i pulled the trigger the hammer did not release. and when i decocked it, it felt really weak. i think this might be because i placed this spring wrong...but i am not sure now even after looking at the diagram. iv read all the other threads regarding this issue but neither one of them came to a clear answer on how this spring is mounted. anyway here is the pic:
now if i still cant get this assembled is there any gun docs in the lower mainland that i can send it to to have it fixed? i feel dumb just saying that |

I can fix it for you if no one else can. I've worked on a P229 I owned (completely took apart the hammer mechanism.)

ah thanks gents! cuz this spring thing is driving me crazy! iv been working on it all afternoon = =...it was easy on my old G19 but this p226 is totally different...and its the type of different that i dun like so much. i shall contact militia immediately.
