Krakenn AK trigger system and modify cyl. set

hey guys, something i want to mention about the modify cylinder set AK series, expect to do some modifications on the parts. i had to drill larger holes in the cylinder head. the spring will not go into the piston smoothly, you will have to make it larger..... i wasnt happy about it.

i tested the shimming, everything seems smooth, no grinding sound a, smooth movement, not too loose, not to tight.. anyway..

this is the first time i open up a gearbox and i spent around 12 hours working with it. i ended up getting everything in except the piston (i just used another one with the correct spring dimension). i tested it with at least 20 rounds of semi and a few bursts of automatic.

am i suppose to feel comfortable with this? what is a good test to indicate whether or not i did a good job?

thanks

edit: lol, and ya i just want to say, i hate the trigger system, most of my 12 hours is spent on that....

Yeah Iv'e heard rumors about the cylinder being a little different. Haven't changed that on mine yet. I hear ya on the triggersystem though, lol. I was saying to myself, who the hell designed this, elves? Stubby finga no fit. But being a bike mechanic it wasn't such a new experience for me.

Byblos, you're just a crazy person though....anybody who mods their gun before gaming it.....sheesh.
I would have liked to chrono it before you did anything to it, then chrono it afterwards, just to see if it made any difference.

what are you talking about man? i started out on v3 gearboxes. they seem whole lot simpler and easier than a v2. i just got done adding a metal body and metal bushings to my 416. now that was a nightmare! it took me an entire day. i mean like who the hell puts two different kinds of screw heads on the same piece of equipment?? its tough to find that correct size of torx/star screw
