Armalite Mechbox Screws
Hey guys:
i'm looking for the screws that attach the grip to the mechbox on an M4. Other threads have said that computer case screws work, but the screws seem to be too short for the job. Anyone know the specific size of the screws that are used? Do they sell them at any computer or hardware store? Thanks. |

Computer case screws DO work, they need to be short anyways (about 1/4" thread length). Might have to try out a couple different types of screw though, depending on the condition of the threads on the mechbox side.

Try the hardware stores...misc screws/nuts...if I remember right, they're M3 screws...you can get up to 3/4"and cut the heads...take one screw with you so you can match it up on site.

Computer screws work but I wouldn't use them unless the threads inside your mechbox are damaged. They're slightly different threading and they'll work but if you've just lost the original, a replacement would be a better solution.
