Dunno wtf is wrong with my gun

ok so last week i took out one of my aeg's, it was shooting fine like it would normally and then suddenly it lost about all its fps and the bbs only lightly sailed out the barrel for a short distance
i took the entire gun apart and cant seem to find out what the problem is. i took apart the barrel set and hop up unit and there doesnt appear to be anything wrong with it so then i added a better inner barrel while i was at it.
i took apart the gearbox and there doesnt seem to be anything wrong in there either. nothing looked broke, im thinking i may have lost compression so i examined the piston head air, nozzle, and the tappet plate. they seemed fine
when the gearbox fires it doesnt seem to produce the hard puff of air that i think it should be, but if i put a bb in the hop chamber and hold everything in a vertical position it fires strong and hard like its supposed to so that kinda makes me wonder if maybe it isnt something to do with compression. im hoping that maybe i just got a bad o-ring on my g&p piston head which i have one to replace it

also id like to take a moment to ask a 416 question also.
how do i get the plastic flash hider off the end of the jg 416's barrel? ive tried and tried and it doesnt budge. im fairly sure its sposed to come off since there was a seperate metal flash hider in the packaging and looking down into the plastic one i can see threading

Dunno about the first question, but the flash hider on the 416 should have a small set screw in the underside. You loosen that with an allen key, then you unscrew the flash hider CLOCKWISE. Threads on flash hiders are opposite that of regular screws and bolt that are CW to tighten, and CCW to loosen.

it doesnt have that. the metal flash hider has that but the plastic one on the barrel doesnt. if it wasnt meant to come off then why would they bother including the metal one in the package?

Probably glued on.

And since you're in the states is it not illegal to remove the orange flashhider?

its like a direct violation of federal law or something like that i read somewhere
i dunno if it only applies to when its being shipped that it has to or if theres some way around it.. not sure

i live way out in the woods 13 miles away from the nearest small town and i dont take my guns off my property so i dont think i have anything to worry about... specially with the neighbors down the road always shooting their apparently semi auto guns. if they can have real guns like that then......

well i sure would like to hear something about my aeg problem other than the 416's flash hider cuz yea... it probly is glued on

Is it a plastic flash hider?

If so, something I did when my plastic flash hider on my CA m15 wouldn't budge was use a soldering iron and melt/cut through it until you can prey it off with pliers.

Some states have that law, althoughit must be tipped to ship but some states dont actualy require it and some do require the tip at all times. it depends on the state and your local laws as their is a few states that dont reqire it for use but in that state their is citys that do kinda like the ny and nyc not allowing bb guns. as for the flashhider not comming off its glued on as they intend you not to remove it so, 1 get a solvent to melt the glue or 2 as stated befour cut/ melt it off until it comes off or 3 i had an aeg come form uncompany recently and they glued down the flashhider, i had to go get a ar wrench with the flash hider wernch tools it got it off with a bit of acitone and some effort.
