Magazine getting stuck in Well MB03
I have a Well MB03 from BuyAirsoft (yeah I know, kid thinks he's got 1337 sniper skillz. I bought it because it requires no power source, I know there's little to no range advantage). I got a Tokyo Marui VSR mag for it and didn't fit at first, so I sanded it down to fit the mag well. It fits well now, and feeds much better than the stock Well magazine. However, if I leave it in the gun for long enough (3+ hours I would estimate, haven't tested it) it won't come out. I find this strange because when I put it in for the first time and press the mag release, it drops right out without any prompting, but after a few hours, it can't even be pulled out. Should I sand the mag, or the mag well, or is it something else entirely?
Any help is greatly appreciated.

You might have spilled grape juice in the magazine well.
All underage bashing aside, if the magazine itself is free of burrs or any other manufacturing defects, get a flashlight and inspect the magazine well for anything that may be adhering to the mag, or causing it to stick.

It's the grape juice. But really, I'm not sure what's causing it to get stuck, but if I give it a smack on the bottom it comes loose. I don't think I enjoy smacking my airsoft gun, so I'll just avoid keeping the mag in for too long.
*Important: If I disassemble the gun with the magazine in, it drops out of the mag well fine. It's gotta be something with the hop-up assembly pushing it back (towards the rear end of the mag well) or the cylinder biting down on the lip of the mag. Most likely the hop-up. Any solutions?

Grape juice might not be too far off the mark. There's no reason that the mag wouldn't stick after a short duration but does get stuck after a longer duration unless there was something with an adhesive present.
I would disassemble the rifle and clean all parts of the hop chamber and magazine well. If there's some grease that has escaped from the cylinder and managed to get onto some of the parts that contact the magazine it _might_ explain the behaviour you're having. |

I've taken down, checked, and cleaned the gun. It's definitely not a substance related problem. I can tell that something is too tight against the magazine, just not sure what as yet.

I had a wellcrap l96 some time ago. Some of the well brand magazine didn't even fit in, sanding was required, but still the mags had some problems sticking in there. Trace the mag that fits on a piece of paper, and then put the TM mag over it to find out what protruding.

Materials expand and contract due to different temperatures. Both the mag well and magazine are plastic so that could be your problem. I'd say sand it down some more, either the mag or magwell, but don't go crazy and burn through it.
If you give it enough room, it should work just fine, even with temp changes. |

One possibility is misalignment between the main body of the rifle and the stock. Loosen the screws holding the body to the stock. See if there is any excess movement.Plus see if any change in how the mag fits and releases.

The Well (IIRC) has different shaped magazines than any other VSR-10 model. They look the same unless they're compared directly but then it's really obvious.

I noticed that when I first got it. I put the Marui magazine in and it got stuck, so I took the upper half of the gun off and popped the magazine out of the body. It was almost a millimeter longer, if not more, than the Well. I sanded it down and now it fits fine. My problem seems very strange and anomalytic so, if I can't use my "smacking the magazine" method to great effect, I'll look into it further.
Thanks guys
