A quick question about KA FAL pricing.
Hi,
I'm pretty interested in the new KA lineup, particularly the FAL and the Troy. But they're really expensive and I'm at a loss for why. The TM M14 sells for $350 on Redwolf, and the KA FAL for $242. So how come after importation costs: The TM costs $680, but the KA FAL has jumped up to $875? I don't really understand importation costs, but it seems the increase should be proportional to me? |

It is proportional to supply and demand.
More people want TM guns (so they get imported more) than KA. I've never taken an economics or business course in my life and I can understand that. |

you beat me to it, but ya id agree with Nag
you cant import any guns from redwolf, due to canadian law. Those who can import guns have to significantly increase the price due to potential loss and import costs. As for the difference between a KA and TM, i would say the KA lineup especially the FAL is alot less popular that the TM m14, M102104, just bought a FAL from KA, so i would suggest asking him where and how he got it. |

Same reason the JLS FN2000 sold for $140 in the US but over $700 here.

Hah, pretty much the same thing happened to me. I was looking at the FNC shorty...until I read the price. I'd rather pick up two used TM's for the money; or an aeg and a gbb :/

Try talking to the retailer that can bring them in and explaining the illogical pricing. Some of them might listen.

Yeah, maybe i'll try talking to the retailer.
I do know about supply and demand... except in Canada, supply is sky-high as it is. Pretty much any gun that is brought in is sold. The retailers don't really worry about unsold stock. I'll try asking shootsoft about it. Other there any other members on this forum that have importation licenses? |

TV Argument, made it before.
Best Buy US: Panasonic - 42" 720p Flat-Panel Plasma HDTV (TH42PX80) $1,099.99 Best Buy CA: Panasonic - 42" 720p Flat-Panel Plasma HDTV (TH42PX80) $1,299.99 This isn't restricted. This is easy to get. Anyone can drive over the border and buy one of these. Look at the markup on TV's. Such easy things to get here. Welcome to Canada.

It'd probably be easier just to read the classifieds and figure that out yourself. I don't think its a good idea to mention their names on the open forum too often, least they be PM mobbed by unverified noobs.
It's pretty clear who's got the lowest prices in Canada anyways.
