Yes, but you can be better. Look for Intellect and Elite brand batteries in size mini.

What about this one? Will this work well? http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_inf...oducts_id=2918
Also, I don't want to modify my G36c in any way (i.e. large hanguard). |

I can fit a 1400 9.6v Intellect mini (8 batteries) into JG g36 regular size hand guard just barely.

The charger that comes with the gun is crap but keep it until you upgrade to another charger like what scarecrow sells.
There are a few battery charge time calculators eg: http://www.csgnetwork.com/batterychgcalc.html "To figure out how long to charge a battery for: (battery capacity (battery's mAh rating)/charger output (mA - usually written on the charger)) x 1.4(for NiCad batteries, 1.5 for NiMh batteries) = time (in hours). In this case it's 1500 / 450 x 1.4 = 4.666hours or 4 hours and 40 mins to charge." Just read the info from the charger and bettery and plug in the numbers. For the battery first charge I let it charge for a few hours longer.

Better yet, get yourself a proper charger with auto cut-off. There are some cheap ones kicking around in the sales forum.

I don't think you will find a good charger for under $30-$50 new unless it is used and/or in classified. Probably thats your best bet. Put a wanted ad for the charger in the classifieds in the forum.

Even though it's a trivial amount, Elite makes 1500Mah cells, you could get a pack made on www.cheapbatterypacks.com
