Getting rid of propane smell from GBB's

I have a surprisingly good sense of smell and the stench of propane permeates my gun. Does anyone have any cleaning tips for attempting to remove the fumes?

Next question is their anything that can be safely done to a tank to reduce the stench.

It's generally not a problem when i'm on the field shooting but when I bring my gear home the smell is gross.

There are some brands of propane that have less of an odor than others. Which ones? Unfortunetly Im not exactly sure.

The benzomatic ones smell quite nice compared to colemans, and if you leave it in your mags for a while I find the smell goes away.

Use green gas... I've always made it a habit to run a whole can of green gas through a gun before using propane... After that, your gun should retain the nice green gas smell...

Guns are for shooting, not for sleeping with.

And give it another bad smell? Want some fries with that?

Wash in the sink with warm water and dishsoap, let dry completely, re-oil, done.

Green gas has a smell? I never noticed. None of my cans ever had a smell.
Maybe some brands do.

yep, i rather have the strong propane smell for $3/can of propane than paying almost $20 more for a can of scented propane aka green gas. try benzomatic instead of colemans
