Jammed barrel TM SG552
Today I was testing out my new hi-cap mag for my (3rd owner) TM Sig 552 SWAT. Got through maybe 40 rounds in single fire, and it just stopped. Removed the mag and battery, then looked inside the port where the rounds go. I could see a silver tube thing assuming its the firing barrel. It has not returned back to its normal spot. I tried to shove it back with the cleaning piece from my M4, no luck. Tried to take it apart with no instructions, couldn't get it to come apart. At this point I'm lost. All I can think of is find one of ya'll who knows how to repair these things, and ship it in
By the way, does anyone have instuctions for this gun? I didn't see it listed in the instruction manual thread

I guess I'm no longer gonna buy used guns, lol.
Ok, so it needs repair. Does anyone know a guntech in the Vancouver area? I think Dave's Army Surplus in New West doesn't do that anymore

for my SG552 is does a "stoppage" sometimes in semi mode if you kinda back off the trigger half way through a shot. Only way to get it working again for me was to switch to full auto and shoot, then go back to semi...not sure if this is normal...

I don't believe it. The full auto trick worked... Should I even ask how you figured that one out RacingManiac

It's a design flaw of the V3 mechbox. Happened to me and my old MP5k also. You can't 'feather' the trigger. You must do a longer pull to ensure the mechbox completely cycles. If you release the trigger mid cycle it stops - switch to full auto and its fine.

doesnt it do that with ALL mechboxes... Would a mosfet fix this? like would it do what the systemas do and complete the cycle regardless of how fast you release the trigger

I half pulled the trigger on my m4 RIS once, she buggered and jammed. Swapping to full fixed it.

just switch it to full auto...fire...then...try back again to semi. if not, the latch spring maybe damage. try this procedure for disassembly... http://www.airguns.co.kr/mag/anal/sg552/sg552_anal.htm images speaks better than word...
