star UMG or GG UMP
I am torn... I can't choose if i should buy a Star or a GG UMP. No matter what I buy I plan on upgrading it (mostly to increase range). This inst my first AEG I already have a echo 1 m4a1.:???:

you may want to look at whats involved in upgrading both of those guns. that should make the decision really simple.

MP7 is more complicated to upgrade, UMG is a simple V3 gearbox, all I did with my UMG was put a systema silent cylinder set in it, shim the gears, a stock CA spring (310fps), guarder clear hopup rubber and a systema spring guide and the thing gets fantastic range.

Should buy a star or a GG UMG because they are priced alike.

The UMG will give you much better upgrade options since it's a full sized AEG, whereas the MP7 is basically a AEP and will have the performance of one, if not a bit better.

for performance and upgradability go with the UMP
for realism (att'n to detail), reliability and pure sexiness (subjective) go with the MP7. what do you plan to use the gun for? I use to own a Modded MP7 and thats adequete for CQB. It shoots very straight and farther than expected (excellent TM hop-up) |

got a G&G UMP, i have had zero feeding issues at all, gun works great and is not only bad ass looking, but its alot of fun.
its alos much easyer to up grade, and its a closer match to a real steel UMP then the star (ecception being the mags)

+1 to star UMP
No personal experience other than spotty G&G QC and the MP7 is to small. |
