New to Airsoft

Hi, I'm new to airsoft. I saw some stuff on youtube and was instantly intrested. I went to Wal Mart and bought some cheap $35 spring hand guns. They're okay. Atleast for me and my little brother to fool around with in the backyard. But I want to upgrade to some better guns. I was wondering if anyone could point me in the direction of some decent Airsoft guns (Around the Ak-47 style) in the $100 area. Thanks

Before you even look at buying something else take the time first to fill in more info in your profile. Next start "READING" the FAQ's etc etc etc, get as much info as you possibly can. If your 18+ than find out who in your area or close to it can age verify you, so than you can browse the classified sections of forums.

You could buy used but at varied prices, but reading the FAQ's and getting age verified is the first of many steps you should take before you even consider a rifle. Welcome to the sport.

There should be some kind of FAQ, that people have to read through in order to make an account or a set amount of time before they can post cause I'd love a decent ak47 for $100.

Just my 2 cents.

With this link here, there is a bunch of information that I would like you to read. You dont have to read all the links, but its a good idea to read many of them.

http://www.airsoftcanada.com/forumdisplay.php?f=21

Specifically I would like you to read are the Canadian airsoft newbie guide and the choosing your first AEG,Buying Lower Quality AEGs online - in Canada and finally Importing Airsoft and You . Read these first please and become knowledgeable in how things work around here. It will give you a better understanding in airsoft and will keep you from getting flamed and treated very poorly.

As it stands, the items you purchased at your local walmart are considered soft air items, we dont deal with soft air here. For your budget, you may not find what you desire.

Finally, despite what you are using now, I suggest that you and your little brother get some safety goggles if you are goinf to continue playing around.
I suggest this only on the best interest for you.

should read up on your FAQ's.
And the only place you'll find an actual airsoft gun for around 100$ is up in airsoft heaven.

Do yourself a big favor.....by saving time and headaches to know what AEG to buy, just buy the best to start with which is a Systema PTW Max AEG, they will cost alot more than 100 or even 350 plus times 4, but you will save time and sleep on thinking for what upgrade do I need internally for this gun and that gun and soo on and trust me you will be having lack of sleeping on it....with a Systema you will gain your sleep again, until you get into tacticle gears....

the best thing also with a Systema you can shoot around 500 fps for one minute and the next with a simple change of battery and cylinder you can shoot at a low 300 fps, now that is very practicle and versitile....

...you will not want to own another gun but a Systema once you have one...

lastly.... fill in your profile....and since the long weekend is comming sit down and go through all previous threads to learn about airsoft...I've been there and still there and learning something new everyday....

Just thinking out loud here but I think we should make the following trade and sticky it in Airsoft Guns Discussion and in General Discussion:
Title: Cool 100$ Airsoft gun here!
Message:
If you're reading this, this proves that you haven't read the FAQ.

Here's the link; [link]

I think we could filter out some of the newcomers like that...

They do that on NFOrce

That isn't going to solve anything. New people don't look at stickys.

IF you mean paying 100cdn a mag you don't have to take that route and can order from the US and it will work out cheaper. So 480 rounds wont be enough, especially with an AEG that is far more accurate and has more range than many other AEG's out there. Back on topic its more than likely this new users is underage, and even coming up with 350+ would take him forever.
