TM Hi Capa rear sight
The rear sight on my hi capa is quite loose and can move around but won't come off. I was just wondering how you guys fasten your sight. I have a shooters design sti slide and i have taken the gun apart but haven't come up with any good ideas yet??

Make sure the blowback chamber is seated securely. Tighten it with the bolt holding it in at the back of the slide.

the blowback chamber is seated properly and the bolt holding it is tightened good but the sight still moves around a bit. Is this a problem everyone has? like does the rear sight always move around a bit?? Also ILLusion, do you know where/how I could get ahold of a fiber optic front sight?

The rear sight on some of my Hi-Capas moves around a bit as well - I think it just depends on the slide you're using it on. If it's a serious issue, you can possibly secure it with a sheet of paper between the blowback chamber and the sight as a pressure shim.
As for the fiber optic front sight, they're pretty hard to come by, and as far as I know, are no longer in production. I searched for a long time for mine and was only able to source it out by butchering it from a Tanio Koba Hi-Capa 5.1 metal slide set that it came with. (fyi, Tanio Koba and Freedom Art collaborates a fair bit on products) On another side note, the 4.3 front sight does not fit the 5.1 due to the 4.3 front sight mounts being smaller. If you're handy, maybe you can find some way to shim it to fit. I'm not sure if the 1911 sight will fit... I have a feeling it won't. The mount for the 1911 version looks wider. |

remove the chamber and put a small bit of hockey tape on the circular indent
jam the thing back in and after all screws are back in, it wont wobble at all |
