Sniper Rifle
Hey, I'm looking for a decent spring sniper rifle. I really don't know what to look for in a sniper, and I'd like all suggestions

I had a CA M24 SOCOM.
Nice gun, sexy as hell and upgrades easily with kits made by CA. The only thing I really hated about the CA is where they have the hop up adjustment, and how the hop up is made period. But, once you have it set up proper, its a nice gun to have and is rare to see in the field... Is this your first gun? |

Not true. Don't talk about what you don't know. The CA M24 and TM VSR-10 are both formidable spring sniper rifles. But still probably far out of the price range this guy wants to be spending.

no this is not my first gun, I've got an AEG M4A1, its made by BOYI, so its cheap, but it works pretty well. Just bought a new spring for it
However, I'm looking for spring, for one, they're cheaper, and for 2, I totally prefer that over semi auto gas powered (or electric). Spring is a lot more realistic in my eyes. And yes, I'm going for skirmishes. Are there no decent spring snipers that shoot 400-500 FPS? even if the sniper doesn't shoot that fast, i can buy a new spring for it easily enough. Granted, that might mean buying a few other parts as well. Just to let you know, I don't know a whole lot about airsoft, as you guys have probably noticed. I totally enjoy playing it, but theres a lot more that i need to learn. All help towards snipers is appreciated Oh, and price really isn't much of an issue... Well, to a degree, I'm looking for anywhere from 400-700$, dunno what you can get for that tho |

Not all spring guns are bad. I saw an L96 this weekend being used by one of the sexiest snipers I know, and he was lighting folks up left and right. He was using that because my gas KJ was acting like a piece of shit.

Ahh I was looking at that gun too. With a upgraded spring (m130) the gun shoots about 130 meters per second. Which is about 400 feet. You'll need to do a bit of upgrading. The accuracy is great. I seen a field test and heres what happened. From 60 feet the sniper hit the target with all 30 shots, with 10 shots from 90 they all hit, from 120 feet only 3 missed, at 200feet the gun missed 5 shots, which was fixed by using .36gram bb's instead of .30grams.

And yes, it's VERY accurate near stock, and very good range with easy spring swaps. I'm going to be putting the stock barrel back in, as I liked it's performance better than the OK inner barrel I put in. |
