FMU TM Colt M1911A1
Just thought I'd add my 1911 upgrade into the mix. (Parts brought to you by Jugglez, BBS and myself. )
It's basically a combination of the original Colt M1911A1 and the 1911 Series 70. For those considering the upgrade, here are the parts used and those oh-so-helpful tools. For compatibility sake, I used all Guarder parts and modded some myself. 1) TM M1911A1 Colt Government 2) Guarder Aluminum Slide & Frame Set (For Marui Colt M1911A1) 3) Guarder Steel Barrel & Chamber for MARUI M1911A1 4) Guarder Enhanced Recoil/Hammer Spring for MARUI M1911A1 (150%) 5) Carom Wood Grip for Marui M1911A1 with Medallion You'll probably need a set of small screwdrivers (both Phillips and Flathead), small tweezers, pliers, hex keys, a multitool, and a hammer would be helpful. Don't forget the silicone oil, you'll need lots to get it running smoothly! Future upgrades? Tightbore, hop-up bucking , etc. to improve gas consumption.

YEP! Uncheckered medallion rosewood. Mmm...
Feels much different than all the other grips I have. And it's definitely a sexy feel - so smooooooth.

I'll take some more pictures tomorrow. I'm having too much fun with it right now.
Yes, Guarder. It's quite nice, although I found I had to mod it more than others have experienced. I'm also surprised that it only looses 3-4 shots per gas fill with all that metal. Perhaps a tighbore will help with that along with some other internal upgrades. Me? I use a Nikon D80 with Photoshop for post-processing.
