TM 1911A1
Well, after seeing Bransons 1911 it pushed me over the edge to finally get mine done up.
Creation slide and outer barrel Shooters Design frame KA recoil and hammer springs NineBall Dyna piston head NineBall airseal chamber packing TanoKoba hop-twist barrel TanoKoba 3 hole trigger PDI Delta Hammer Creation Kimber Desert Warrior grips Unfortunatly Den Terinity sent me a WA hammer spring housing instead of the TM one, so until that arrives I'm stuck with the stock TM curved one. I'm also still waiting on WGC to ship my mags and TK hoptwist barrel. I'm very dissapointed in their service as all the parts were ordered at the same time and they have yet to ship theirs. The Creation products are also somewhat dissapointing. They have quite a good reputation for metal kits and yes, the build quality is top notch but the finish of the slide is light purple in colour, which doesnt extend into the deeply stamped trades. The slide also didnt come with a rear sight so I'm stuck using the stock plastic one. The desert grips also had some molding flash around the edges and feel quite light and cheap. The Shooters Design frame has a nicer finish but I feel like I could scrape the trades off with my finger nail. I unfortunatly havnt had a chance to test fire it yet as my mags havnt arrived but I cant wait! Enough babble, PICS! |

Very nice!!! I know what you mean about the strange hue to the Creation slide but you get used to it. I'll be interested to hear your results upon using it. I get about 12 shots on propane but I haven't changed the valves, piston head or nozzle yet. Also the Nine Ball hammer spring was too strong!! The slide wouldn't cycle properly.
Sorry to hi-jack but since you mentioned my inspiration here's a little photo of my TM M1911A1: |

Just got myself a custom WA Vreaker 12. It's a bit old, it's been used quite alot but I have a nice surprise for it;
Desert Warrior grips are already in the mail and I'm about to order a Wilson Combat slide then maybe a nice metal chamber and barrel. My question is, what else will I need to fit that metal slide on it? A stronger spring and better valve I guess? Anyone has good Tritium sights to suggest?

Metal slides are generally just a drop in. Not too many other accessories are nesesairy.
On a bit of an update, I got bored and dremeled the lower to accept the straight mainspring housing. Looks the heat. Pics will be up when my mags arrive and I can get some shooting done! |
