[56kbs death] M4 CQB/r + Eotech + Night-ops Gladius (New Pictures, Last Page)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
EDIT: Me and my friend's team video's are available on youtube here --> http://www.youtube.com/user/skillyerd311 The below videos are particularly good: -H.E.A.T Main CQB -H.E.A.T NIGHT INTRO -H.E.A.T (Airsoft pro's) All these videos were made/edited by my friend (It's his youtube account) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ My CA M4 CQB with my Eotech 512 and Night-ops Gladius. The entire reciever, front sight post, and rail system has been lightly sanded with a fine grit sandpaper to give it a very dull, matte look over the original glossy Classic Army paint. Then I took some rough grit sandpaper and created some wear on the body. Some of it is real though, I've put this gun through a lot. The look once I was done with the sanding is extraordinary and these pictures just don't do it justice. --The M190 at the bottom is missing its trigger and hammer because of internal problems (hammer, trigger and an internal trigger springs broke simultaneously)-- Tell me what you think of it and any further external stuff you think I should put on it. EDIT: New Photo ------------------------ ------------------------ EDIT: The lever that's on my Eotech is a GG&G (not a typo, it's a different company) Accucam mount. 10x better than the stock screw and is guaranteed to keep zero within 1/2 MOA when removed and replaced.

That wear makes your AR look damn realistic. I'm also diggin' that EOTech, but, it's kinda.. big? Hardly gives you any space for BUIS.

The Eotech gets 1100 hours of battery life off of some lithium AA's, if it runs out of batteries it's telling me I'm playing airsoft WAY too much, lol. Anyway, thanks for the compliment!

Do you find it comfortable where it is now? I'd imagine it's more effective further down the rifle..

Setup looks great, but the wear on the receiver looks very "on purpose", and IMO quite fake. Run it through some gravel, run it over with a car a couple times, and you're good to go
Just my 2 cents.

The only thing that looks fake to me is the wear on the ejection port cover. I've NEVER seen that kind of wear on RS service rifles. The wear on the brass deflector is correct, and so is wear on the forward assist, and pretty much any part that protrudes from the receiver.
Ancorp, y'know you can stop being a wiener/stalker once in a while, right jk |

to kos --> (The Eotech Reticle isn't stationary as normal red dots are, it's holographic and seems to "follow your eye/head" while your looking through it.)
So having it closer allows me to get an accurate sight picture before my head is centered on the cheek rest. Does that make sense? And ancorp a lot of the wear on the gun is actually from slamming it into concrete walls and dragging it through all the rocks and trenches on the field. I see where your coming from, though. But you have to remember working with sandpaper gives you one chance to make it perfect and is very imprecise. All in all I think I did a half decent job on my first try with my first gun, right?

Armalite's you wear by lightly sand basting them then polishing the crap out of it. Looks good Shomie! |

Also dirty up the insides with lots of lubricant. And it still works half the time after all that beating it takes!

Nice looking rig. Since you're looking for suggestions to put on the "finishing touches" on your gun, I'm partial to Magpul-style oversized trigger guards (not the "sniper style", but the more rounded ones) and a Magpul MIAD pistol grip. Also, since you don't have a BUIS and rely wholly on your EOTech, I'd dump the front sight and add a railed gas block. Having a front sight and no rear sight looks silly to me. I'd also add an ambidextrous mag release, but that's personal preference.

That sounds good I'll definitely look into the Magpul trigger guard and getting rid of the front sight post. Any idea where I could find a gas block without sights (not necessarily railed but I don't mind if it is)?

Thanks for the links, that hurricane one seems like a good deal.
I just added a pic of the M4 CQB/r with my Gladius and my Oakley M frames, because nothing completes a loadout more than Oakleys.

I like the homemade dual mag clamp. I see the flash hider used to be orange?
all in all, it looks used in some places and not used in others (like mentioned, the ejection port cover stood out as 'how the fuck did that wear pattern occur?'). All in all, she's not bad. I'd prefer to earn my wear though...

Oh it's earned it, over 70,000 rounds on all the standard equipment, more than 5 ops and an unbelievable amount of skirmishes. Whoever disses CA are bullshitting themselves, their internals are amazing. (Well atleast in my case)
EDIT: Ya the mag clamps made out of a small block of wood and three zip ties, but it's ten times as sturdy as the metal ones. Nothin' more milsim than makin' stuff out of zip ties =).
