pistol holster CF issued
Any one knows CF's "officially" issued holster today?
I know some CADPAT leg holsters are in the market, but I think they are Just commercial "creations" . And I doubt How holster can be attached on tactical vest. I can't find any device for holster on the T.V. |

Seen some guys use the OD holster on the tac vest, attached it to the spot for the bayont. A lot of guys I've seen though by their own holsters though.

I remember one thing to do was using the inside left magazine pouch on the TV as a holster...
Otherwise wasn't there an underarm holster made for the Pattern 82?

Depended on the operation:
CF Peace Keepers initially used the issued OD hip type; However, in Yugo the majority went to the black shoulder rig (less to get snagged climbing in & out of the tracks) There is an issued CF holster in black, seen some MP's with them, but some of the Afghan guys I've spoken to have been forced to buy their own. |

Oddly enough I'm on exercise at the moment, I have a Browning HP sitting right here, and I'm bored out of my skull:
Here's some crappy images from my camera phone. There's no marking or NATO number on the holster anywhere I can find. They've been around for ages, but this one looks quite newish. The Browning's in pretty damned good shape too. Most folks around here wear these on their regular belt as there's no accommodation for it on the tac vest. The RSM here has a (very) old school OD green leather holster hooked on to his tac vest for his Browning. Looks pretty badass.

I know a couple guys (airsofters) around here that use that holster for airsoft, Ringmaster and Porkchop to be exact.................
Ibby is a technician with the CF, so chances are those in his area get issued the older stuff to get them through the exercises. New stuff would go to the front line guys. Which is better.................................. ? Lol Incidentally, I have the exact same holster except it's the older cotton webbing construction, I remember my dad went on exercise at one point, I musta been about 5 years old, he bought it as a present for me, as well as the cotton webbing pistol belt that you had to work the buckle by bending the two halves downward to break the grip, then it'd come apart. A former roommate fucked off with my belt, left me his P.O.S. US ALICE belt instead. But still have the holster, still has my name an old phone number markered into it that my parents wrote back in the '70s. Lol, and yes, I've used it a few times for games! |

These Browning holsters are new though, the waterproof backing on them hasn't even come off yet. There are a couple folks around here that have the new drop leg holsters which are damned sexy but I haven't been able to get a pic of one yet.

I bought that exact holster at the local Army Navy store for 2 bucks, sold it with my HiCapa 3.8.
It worked pretty well, though the mag pouch didn't fit any of my mags (well, it fit a Cougar mag with a LOT of work once), and was pretty efficient in what it was made for.

I'm surprised no one has posted anything about the current issue shoulder holster EVER (except me). Are they that rare or what?

The issue holster sucks!! Bianchi.
So many troops have lost their side arm due to it falling out.
