Wireless remote for techie types
I just picked up one of these from Princess Auto:
They're on sale for $30 this week. Nice neat little package for remote control of devices you need to switch on or off. The unit acts as a switch only, it doesn't supply any power to things. It has 4 channels, 1 and 2 are toggled on and off each time you press the buttons. Channels 3 and 4 are switched on as long as their buttons are held down. It's a 12 volt system, so you'd need to power it with 8 AA cells or something similar. Pretty cool though, I'd been looking for something to remotely detonate a pair of Supercell claymores I bought a while back. They're fun but the original wired in switch is a PITA to deploy. Just thought I'd share.

I picked up one of these about a year ago on sale, wicked awesome potential for this unit.
