Exploding BBs have been around for ages. But I wouldnt want one of these blowing up inside my hop unit. Plus it looks like you only get a few in each package anyways. Would be great for theatrical use, but thats about it.

Actually back in the day I work for a gunwrangler for movies shop here in Montreal and he had them to use in certain shot. They did come in a pack of about 12 that looked like a clear plastice version of gum with each BB in a holder. They would be used in a shot where you needed to see the gun shot and see the hit, gun sound would be added later.
I have no idea where to get them now. Jakster |

I bet they are no more dangerous than capguns. Unless you get shot near the eyes.

When I ran guns for film in BC we always had some ding dong trying to tell us these were the next great thing for film - until we proved to them that they can't be seen on camera, they don't always "cap off" (explode) and only have a limited shelf life. Plus in BC they were limited under the Environment Canada Explosives Act & the certifications to handle them were not worth the money or time. Maybe in the states they can get their jollies off of them, but up here, having experimented with similar 6mm, 8 & 9mm types, they're garbage.

Since bb's bounce around in the barrel would there not be a good chance of it exploding in side of the barrel
