STRIPPING THE 'TM' SD5

can any of you fellow gun fanatics help me out. i'm having serious difficulty trying to strip down my Toyko Mauri SD5. i've unscrewed/un-bolted everything there is, but i still cant seperate the piston housing (-the top reciever?) from the bottom half of the gun (-the trigger assembly and motor etc).
i know on a standard MP5 you only have take out one bolt (near the mag' release clip lever) and the two halfs pull apart...

'will be well gratefull to whoever can shed some light on the matter...

IF you meant the gearbox and the lower body = true THEN

try to unscrew the two screws hidden under the motor (once taken out )

ElseIF you meant the gearbox and the lower body = false THEN

Could you please reformulate your question

End IF

Yep my mistake, the piston should stay attached to the rest of the trigger mechanism- i meant to ask 'How do I seperate the top reciever from the piston and trigger mechanism housing' -doesnt it just slide of like the MP5A3?

c++ nice one, i normally communicate in binary. reffering back to the SD5- the problem is that i cant get to the piston -i cant open the bastard thing up. like i said before i've unsrewed and unbolted everything- shouldn't the upper half of the gun slide forward away from the lower half?

The upper receiver separates in half lengthwise. Pull off the grip (lower) completely. And remove the front end (grip et all). From there remove the rear sight, the screw from the mag release button, the screw from the rear under where the stock mounts, and the screw just behind the magwell.

Let us know your progress once you've done all that.

hows it going starman...managed it in the end -i didnt realise you had to take the damn motor out!! -dont need to do that on the SG1!
ive disasembled it and fitted the metal body- put it back together and it dont work at all-just how sensitive is the motor position/gears?
-tempted to give up and send it to the local shop!
